After much talk in recent days of Motorola Atrix 4G dell’attesissimo tablet Xoom and Motorola, presented at the CES as a real rival Samsung Galaxy dell’iPad and Tab, it seems that the launch date of the two terminals Moloto is not far away. Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha has revealed that the launch will take place in late February, followed by the Droid Bionic due out in the second quarter.
This is good news for fans of Android, since in particular the Motorola Atrix 4G could be a rush of smartphones this year, with a dual-core processor Tegra 2, 1 GB of RAM, a large display and touch a fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will also be sold with a dock optzionale that provides a full QWERTY keyboard, Firefox and a 11-inch display.
The Motorola Xoom is instead the first tablet to appear with Honeycomb 3.0 Android and will be launched soon in a version with 3G connectivity.
The announcement of the PSP2 has captured the attention of fans but for fans of Sony, the surprises continue. In addition to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, in fact, there seems to be more. It’s called PlayStation Suite and is “a program to license content to bring PlayStation certificate officially supported by Sony on Android.”
It seems that Sony wants to jump in casual games for mobile phones, smartphones and Tablet PCs, offering content with the quality of PlayStation games. Through the licensing program, Sony will thus provide support to developers to develop quality games and use the PlayStation logo. A series of porting games from the PS one is in fact scheduled for 2011 and a PlayStation Store will be opened simultaneously.
A development environment for programmers, and new content to users, thus creating a sort of springboard to experience the PlayStation and, perhaps, then make the jump to PS3 and PSP 2. Waiting for new information that we close the alert PlayStation Suite will run only from Android 2.3 and above.
From first glance, the LG E900 smartphone has nice aesthetics, much stronger and more accurate than was common in the images. The 3.8-inch WVGA TFT display with 480 x 800 capacitive occupies most of the body, except for a black frame with LG symbol and the three physical buttons that Microsoft imposed on Windows Terminal Phone 7: the back button, home and Search button.
Laterally to the right, we find the cover that protects the micro USB connection and a dedicated key for the camera, while on the left side of the phone are the dedicated volume buttons. At the top of the phone there is the entrance for headphones (3.5 mm) and the key to lock / unlock the keypad. The overall appearance of the terminal is compact, solid, clean.
The back cover shows the optics of the camera (5.O megapixel camera with flash, up to 4x zoom, autofocus, beauty shot, ISO 400, 5 scenes including selectable portrait / landscape / sports / night / sunset, face detection, closed eyes and smile, geotagging and upload directly to Facebook) and specifies the ability to shoot HD video in resolutions up to 1280 × 720 pixels 30fp. After reviewing the individual aspects and he summarized the seven positive features of Windows 7 Phone, today we see the seven adverse features of the new OS from Microsoft. To do so, again, I am inspired by the list compiled by IntoMobile, confirming my feelings about it.
Lack of copy / paste
Well, for the moment lacks the copy / paste in Windows Phone 7. This is a very important feature that all other mobile platforms have a long time (think of Symbian), others less (IOS), but nevertheless I find it indispensable in a smartphone that is also aimed at business customers. We think of when we receive an email address or a phone number and we can not copy it: very unnerving. Microsoft has promised integration in early 2011 via a software update. No Multi-tasking real
Omission rather surprising if we think that the multi-tasking in Windows Mobile and was present even in this case is quite useful for business use of your phone. The multi-tasking allows applications to continue running in the background with the ability to switch between them while using the phone. The switch from one application to another in Windows 7 Phone, requires you to pass from the home screen and launch a single application. Microsoft has provided multi-tasking phone only a few native applications such as email and the browser, then there is the potential for a full implementation of all the features of the phone.
Exploitation and transfer of multimedia content
The service of Microsoft Zune Pass gives you access to numerous streaming content, but the media player is not the best for the use thereof. You can not play audio in landscape format, a feature unusual in that many terminals have WP7 kickstand for use in wide format. The video version of landscape, however, appear good. The file transfer to be another negative point: you need the Zune software. You can not use WiFi, the file must be manually transferred from phone to computer.
